Kevin Hronek, Guidance Counselor/Teacher from Hugh Sutherland School in Carstairs, was joined by students involved in the school’s Kodiak Leadership Club to provide information to Trustees. They spoke about the importance of supporting student leaders in schools and the many things leadership programs accomplish, from building individual confidence to impacting community initiatives and boosting school culture. The Board commended the students for their involvement and enthusiasm and congratulated them on their valuable program.

Feb 26 - Pink Shirt Day

Gear up everyone, Wednesday, February 26th is PINK SHIRT DAY! The anti-bullying campaign was created in 2007 by two Nova Scotia students who were outraged to see a Grade 9 boy bullied on the first day of school for wearing a pink shirt.
