Leah Knudsen

My name is Leah Knudsen and I will be teaching Grade 5 this school year.  

I am originally from a small town, west of Calgary. It is a small farming community, and I absolutely loved growing up in that rural setting. I went to the University of Calgary and have an BA in Archaeology and then continued on to get my BEd teaching degree there as well.  At home, we have a little girl named Sadie who keeps us very busy, but when I have time, I like to squeeze in some sports. I am an active person and play several sports including volleyball, badminton, baseball and hockey. I am also constantly looking for a good book to read or listen to on my commute. Reading is a passion of mine.

I am looking forward to an exciting year. It is my goal to provide the class with an educationally challenging, yet fun and successful, Grade 5 year.  I am passionate about encouraging the development of the whole student--- the reader, the artist, the athlete, the critical thinker, the citizen and I am here to make school a positive experience for your child. Here is to a great year!
